The coal mining inducing large-scale ecological destruction and groundwater pollution is one of the most severe environmental problems that are facing the alpine frozen area. By taking into consideration the influence of low oxygen and freeze-thaw cycle on the gangue physicochemical property, the frozen soil microstructure and ice water dynamics, this study , by virtue of the water-heat-salt coupling model, intends to multidisciplinary study the leaching and releasing and migration of heavy-metal elements in gangue in extreme climate conditions. Focusing on the releasing characteristics of Cd, Cr, and Pb in the gangue under low oxygen and freezing-thaw conditions, the migration mechanism of Cd, Cr, and Pb under the influence of low oxygen and freeze-thaw conditions, and the water-heat-salt coupling model under the conditions of freeze-thaw cycal, thus putting forward the migration transformation micro-mechanism of heavy-metals in the gungue under extreme climate conditions and throwing some light on the heavy-metal pollution control and resource utilization in the alpine ecologically vulnerable region.
