中文摘要: 面向国家解决能源问题的重大战略需求及太阳能电池领域发展所面临的关键科学问题,以发展新一代高效太阳能电池为总目标,开展新型高效量子点中间能带太阳能电池材料及器件的基础研究。此类电池理论效率高达63.1%,是高效利用太阳能的新途径和可行方案。.本项目以高效量子点中间能带太阳能电池材料的性能设计与制备研究为基础,重点开展III/V族量子点材料的能级设计、可控生长和相关机理研究,结合八带k•p模型等理论模拟,澄清尺寸、应力、组分、界面和掺杂等对量子点材料性能的影响,实现对其性能的精细调控。同时开展基于这一材料的中间能带太阳能电池设计和制备研究,揭示低维量子点材料对载流子产生、输运、收集等动力学过程的作用机理与内在关联,探索提高光电转换性能的新机制与新器件原理,为发展具有自主知识产权的新一代高效太阳能电池提供理论基础和关键技术,为我国的光伏技术发展和能源安全保障做出贡献。

英文摘要: Development of high efficiency solar cells is extremely important to optimize the existing energy structure and to solve the current energy crisis we are facing. As a new concept device, the intermediate-band solar cells have a theoretical efficiency of as high as 63.1%, which provides a potential and feasible way for efficient utilization of solar energy. The core of the project is to carry out the research on high-performance InAs/GaAs self-assembled semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) and relevant intermediate band solar cells..Based on the design and fabrication of high quality QDs, we emphasize on studying the controllable growth and relevant mechanism of the III/V self-assembled QDs in the project, realizing the fine tuning of the properties of the QDs by clarifying the effects of size, strain, composition, interface and doping on the properties of the QDs, combined with the eight band k•p model for theoretical simulations. Meanwhile, we will investigate the design and fabrication of the intermediate-band solar cell based on the QD material system, revealing the effect mechanisms and intrinsic association of QD intermediate-band on the dynamics processes related to carrier generation, transport and collection, exploring new mechanisms for high-efficiency solar cells. The results obtained by executing the project would offer theoretical basis and key technologies for developing the new-generation high-efficiency solar cells with proprietary technology, and this would make a contribution to the development of photovoltaic technology and the protection of energy security.
