中文摘要: 在移动通信基站端采用大规模天线阵列的多用户MIMO被称为是Massive MIMO,它不但可以大幅度降低基站的功耗和成本,而且当天线数趋于无穷时,它还能逼近多用户信道容量。当前电子器件和系统集成技术的进步使Massive MIMO系统的实现已完全可能。Massive MIMO的特点是紧密结合电子器件技术的进步,以一种新的方式去达到通信的信道容量。基于这些优点,Massive MIMO极有可能成为下一代移动通信系统的关键技术。本项目主要研究Massive MIMO系统的一系列关键技术,主要包括可以达到更好的天线数与阵列面积折衷的基于交叉极化天线的Massive MIMO,可以突破导频污染对Massive MIMO性能制约的自适应波束形成技术,可以提高移动较快的终端性能的天线数大于信道相干时间的空时码设计,以及可以大幅度提高终端较多时Massive MIMO接收性能的软输入软输出解调算法等。

英文摘要: The multi-user MIMO with very large antenna array at the base station is called Massive MIMO. Massive MIMO can hugely reduce the power consumption and the cost of the base station, and when the number of antennas at the base station approaches infinity, Massive MIMO can achieve the multi-user channel capapcity. With the latest development in electronic devices and system integration, Massive MIMO is becoming practical. Because of the numerous attactive properties, with high possiblity, Massive MIMO would be adopted as one of the key technolgies in the next generation mobile wireless communications. In this project, we investigate the key technologies in the Massive MIMO systems. These include the Massive MIMO based on the cross-polarized antennas which can achive better antenna number and array area trade-off than the uni-polarized antennas; the adaptive beamforming technolgies which can be used to supress the pilot contamination in Massive MIMO; the space time code design in the case that the number of antennas is greater than the channel coherent time, which can improve the performance of the Massive MIMO with high speed teminals; and the soft-input soft-output demoduation algorithms, which can improve the receiving performance of Massive MIMO with large number of terminals.
