中文摘要: 拓扑绝缘体是这几年凝聚态物理学兴起的热点领域,其中涉及的许多重要的物理现象和物理机制,意味着广阔的应用前景。本课题研究拓扑微结构材料在量子光学中的应用,其中包含三大部分的内容。一、研究拓扑绝缘体对电磁环境的影响,以及原子在拓扑绝缘体附近的量子光学现象,包括原子自发辐射、电磁自感透明、真空拉比劈裂与拉比振荡;二、设计构造光学拓扑材料,实现对光传播的拓扑保护,进而与原子相互作用产生的奇特量子光学现象, 包括纠缠双光子的产生和传播,原子间纠缠的维持和保护;三、与腔结合,构建光学拓扑材料腔,研究原子在其中的动力学问题。本项目的内容即是新材料,固体物理和量子光学的理论前沿,又和实验和应用紧密相关。

英文摘要: Topological Insulator is a hot subject of the field of the condensed matter physics in recent years, and has attracted extensive attention due to its unique physical phenomena and physical mechanical, as well as its promising applications. This project plans to study the application of topological insulator on the field of quantum optics, and includes three mainly facets: the first, we would study the influence of the topological magnetoelectric effect of the topological insulator on quantum optics, especially discuss the spontaneous decay, electromagnetic induced transparency, Rabi splitting, and Rabi oscillation of atomic population, etc. The second, we would design and optimum the optical topological materials. Using its topological protection of light propagation, we would study the quantum optical phenomena of atom embedding in it. Especially, we would focus on the production of entangled double-photons, the keeping and protection of the entanglement between two atom, etc. The third,we would construct the optical topological cavity, and study the special atomic dynamics within it. Our project not only is the theoretic frontier of new material, condensed material physics and quantum optics, but also has tie with experiment and application.
