中文摘要: THz辐射是介于红外与毫米波之间的一种电磁辐射(0.1THz-30THz),其在众多技术科学领域具有非常广泛的应用。高功率的THz光源只能来自基于加速器的超快电子束,而相干THz辐射的产生普遍要求电子束团的rms长度在亚皮秒范围。由于光阴极微波电子枪在获得高品质束流方面的优势以及桌面型的THz光源在低成本、小规模及其在可移动性方面的特点,基于光阴极微波电子枪的桌面型THz光源具有极高的应用价值。本项目将通过提高加速梯度、合理选择电荷量大小及调节加速相位的方法解决直接在光阴极微波电子枪中产生亚皮秒束团的技术难题;理论分析并模拟研究电子束掠过周期性光栅产生的相干史密斯-普塞尔辐射或(和)电子束穿过中空电介质元件产生的相干切伦科夫辐射,发展与之相对应的束团长度非拦截式测量方法;并通过极其简单的激光整形技术改善束流发射度,提高束流品质。

英文摘要: Terahertz (THz) radiation, which lies in the frequency gap between the infrared and microwaves, typically referred to as the frequencies from 100 GHz to 30 THz,has the applications in wide variety of teconology and science research. High power THz light with can only be obtained from the relativistic electron bunch based on accelator. To obtain coherent THz radiation, electron bunch with subpicosecond rms length is generally required. Considering the advantage of the photoinjector in high quality beam generation and the feature of tabletop THz source in low cost, small scale and removability, Tabletop THz source based on photoinjector has extremely wide application value. The main contents of this project are: subpicosencond electron generation in photoinjector by improving the acceleration gradient of the gun, suitably tunning the charge of the bunch and the acceleration phase; development of the nondestructive bunch length measurement technology by using the coherent Smith-Purcell radiation and (or) the coherent Cherenkov radiation methods; low emittance achievement by a simple way of laser shaping.
