中文摘要: 单光子态的测量是量子光学的重要课题,它在量子物理学基础研究以及近年来飞速发展的量子信息科学方面都有着广泛的应用,是目前物理学研究领域的一个前沿热点课题。利用腔诱导透明原理,通过测量探测场的吸收光谱及或测量增强的交叉克尔非线性引起的大的相移及其量子无噪声放大等技术,探讨基于电磁诱导透明情形下的单光子态的操纵、制备及探测;基于高里德堡原子间强的偶极-偶极相互作用诱导的量子阻塞效应,研究里德堡原子系统电磁诱导透明增强克尔非线性条件下非破坏测量、单光子态产生的新原理、新方案。

英文摘要: Single-photon detection is an important subject in quantum optics. The detection of single photon has been widely applied to the fundamental quantum physics and quantum information processing. It is currently the frontier subject of physics. Making use of the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) in optical cavities, this proposed project will investigate how to manipulate, control and detect a single photon. To do this, the proposal will present schemes to detect the absorption spectrum of probe field or measure its large phase shift induced by an enhanced cross-Kerr nonlinearity in combination with the quantum noiseless amplifier. The strong dipole-dipole interaction between Rydberg atoms can block the simultaneous excitation of many Rydberg atoms. The project will propose new methods for the generation and quantum non-demolition (QND) detection of a single photon via the EIT-enhanced Kerr nonlinearity created in Rydberg atoms.
