中文摘要: 网络常被用来描述复杂系统中个体间的相互作用关系。近年来,随着对复杂系统研究的深入,网络的概念与方法被进一步拓展为多重网络或网络的网络,进而可以兼顾描述系统内与系统间的关联。一般的,多重网络是多个网络通过相互连接或耦合组成的系统,各个层次拥有相对独立的结构。这一拓展为讨论真实复杂系统间的相互作用提供了一个平台,具有很强的现实和理论意义。本项目将综合利用统计物理理论与建模模拟的方法,通过分析多重网络中各层间的级联与传播过程,对多重网络的结构性质及其形成与演化进行探讨,并以多重网络结构的演化反观单网络的结构特点。研究主要包括,多重网络上动力学与结构共演,多重网络中层间耦合机制与耦合优化,多重网络系统的层次中心性与节点中心性。这些研究不仅将完善与发展多重网络的理论与模型,也对实际耦合系统的结构设计与优化有一定指导作用。

英文摘要: Networks are usually used to describe the structural relationships of the components of a system. However, individuals in different systems could interact through many different channels. So, the conception of multilayer networks has been proposed. Generally speaking, multilayer networks explicitly incorporate multiple channels of connectivity, each channel is represented by a layer and the nodes may have different kinds of interactions, which is a good platform for the studying of real interacting systems. In this project, though the studying of the cascading and propagation processes on multilayer networks, we will discuss the origin and evolution of the structure of multilayer networks, and re-examine structural characters of single networks. The project mainly includes the coevolution of structure and dynamic of multilayer networks, the coupling mechanism of multilayer networks and its optimization, and the node and layer centrality of multilayer networks. All these studies can improve the theory and model of multilayer networks, which is useful for the structure design and optimization of real coupling systems.
