中文摘要: 随着移动视频服务的兴起,基于互联网上已经存在的高质量视频资源,通过高性能视频转码机制为大规模移动用户提供在线流媒体服务已经成为一个研究热点,引起了工业界和学术界的共同关注。传统视频转码策略在转码架构、环境适应性、加速优化等三方面还面临着诸多挑战。依赖云计算技术,为海量视频转码服务提供一个可扩展、自适应、高并发的支撑环境对解决上述三个层面的挑战具有重要意义。本课题将基于云计算的资源聚合能力,为视频转码提供一个片级并行的可扩展转码架构、时空相关的自适应转码环境以及基于众核协处理器的高并行转码加速机制,实现流媒体服务从互联网向移动互联网的透明、无缝的迁移。本项目在理论上将深入探索基于分片的视频转码任务的分布式调度算法、分片管理算法、分布式转码数据的共享算法等;在工程上可为移动互联网用户提供一个透明的、无缝的获取互联网既有视频服务的高性能方案,具有重要的理论价值和现实意义。

英文摘要: With the development of mobile video streaming services, it is a hot topic to provide on-line streaming services for large-scale mobile users based on video transcoding platform with existing video programs of high quality on the Internet. The topic has attracted the intention in acdemic and industrial communities. Traditional video transacoding schemes face some challenges on transcoding architecture, adaptiveness of end devices and network environment and accelerating optimization. Based on cloud's resources management, the project will provide the architecture for sgement based transcoding task scheduling in a parallel way, the adaptive scheme based on time-space characteristics and parallel transcoding scheme based on many-core architecture. As a result, the streaming services can be moved from Internet to mobile environment transparently. In theory, the project will explore the distributed scheduling algorithm, segment management algorithm and data sharing algorithm; and in engeering, it will provide a new video transcoding platform for mobile users.
