中文摘要: 闪存作为一种新型的存储设备,可以很好地解决传统磁盘存在I/O性能低下的问题,已经成为工业界和学术界的研究热点。现有的存储系统是针对磁盘的物理特性进行设计和优化,可以发挥存储的最佳性能,然而闪存与磁盘的物理特性有显著的差异,因此,现有的存储系统无法直接应用于闪存。本项目针对闪存的物理特性,展开了闪存存储系统关键技术的研究。研究内容主要包括:1)基于多级映射表的页级映射方法的研究;2)自适应的垃圾回收策略的研究;3)优化的混合磨损均衡算法的研究;并采用成熟的闪存仿真平台,结合多种真实I/O数据集验证各项研究的实际性能。本研究可促进研究者对闪存存储系统做深入研究,为闪存存储系统中关键技术的解决开拓新颖研究思路,有望获得创新性和实用性并举的成果,将对基于新型存储的计算机体系结构发展起着重要的推动作用。

英文摘要: Flash memory is a kind of new storage device, which could address the problem that traditional hard disk shows low I/O performance and has become the research focus in industrial and academic circles. current storage systems have been designed and optimized for the physical characteristics of hard disk, and could show the best storage performance. However, flash memory shows different physical characteristics from hard disk. Therefore, current storage systems can not be used for flash memory directly. This project will do research on key technologies for flash memory storage system according to the physical characteristics of flash memory. Research contents include: 1) page-level mapping method based on multi-level mapping table; 2) adaptive garbage collection strategy; 3) optimized hybrid wear leveling algorithm. At the same time, this project will adopt excellent flash memory simulator platform and many kinds of real I/O datasets to evaluate the real performance of each research result. This project could promote researchers to do deep research on flash memory storage system, provide new research ideas for addressing key technologies in flash memory storage system, achieve novelty and practicable results, and promote the development of computer architecture based on new storage.
