中文摘要: 光子晶体在光电子领域是热门的研究方向,垂直腔面发射激光器在光电子领域有重要应用,将光子晶体和垂直腔面发射激光器结合起来是一个重要课题。本项目主要开展以下研究内容:运用数值模拟方法,自主建立理论模型,模拟光子晶体垂直腔面发射激光器的光场和模式特性等。设计光子晶体结构和微腔,结合数值模拟对器件结构进行优化,设计具有单模、低有效阈值电流、大出光孔径、高输出功率等特性的光子晶体垂直腔面发射激光器。研制出光子晶体垂直腔面发射激光器。建立测试系统,对该器件进行测试,实现器件的室温连续电注入激射。本课题系国际研究前沿,研究实现全光信息处理和传输的基本元件;对于提高国内光子晶体垂直腔面发射激光器的研究水平,加快具有低阈值、大孔径、高功率和光子晶体半导体激光器的开发与应用具有重要意义。

英文摘要: Photonic crystal is a hot-topic in the opto-electronics area. vertical-cavity-surfaceemission laser (VCSEL) has important application in the opto-electronics. It is a important project to combine photonic crystal and vertical-cavity-surface-emission laser. This project includes the research as following: Constructing and simulating the optical field and optical mode of photonic crystal vertical-cavity-surface-emission laser by numerical simulation method. Design the photonic crystal, cavity and the photonic crystal VCSEL with single mode, low-threhold, large output aperture and high output power. Moreover, optimize the structure of device according to the simulation result. Secondly, fabricate the photonic crystal VCSEL. Thirdly, set up the measurement system and character the device, and try to realize photonic crystal VCSEL with continue current at room temperature. This project is belong to advanced topic in the word. To realize the basic unit in information processinon and transmission for all-optical network, and to imporve the demestic research level of photonic crystal VCSEL, it is significant to fasten the reseach and application of low-threhold, large aperture and high output power.
