The Annual IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN) has pioneered the fusion between dependability and security research, understanding the need to simultaneously fight against accidental faults, intentional cyber-attacks, design errors, and unexpected operating conditions. DSN is also providing a fruitful ground for academia and industry interaction.
Breakthrough architectures, from microprocessors to IoT and the cloud, modeling techniques, protocols, algorithms for preventing, detecting, recovering, diagnosing or eliminating accidental and malicious, experimental characterization and assessment of dependable systems are within the scope of DSN. Authors are invited to submit original papers and reports on research, development, validation, deployment, and maintenance of dependable and secure systems and networks.
The conference program will include plenary talks, regular papers, practical experience reports, an industry track, a fast-abstract track, and a student forum. The conference will also feature several workshops and tutorials. We are confident your participation and contributions will make DSN a successful event.
The 2019 edition of the DSN conference will take place in the city of Portland. Located on the banks of the Willamette river, between the Pacific Ocean and Mount Hood, Portland is the cultural and economic heart of the Oregon State. Portland is home to companies like Intel, IBM, and Tektronix, and the Portland State University. It is in driving distance from Seattle, where University of Washington, Boeing, and Microsoft are located, and a short flight away from Silicon Valley and Stanford University. Access to Portland is facilitated by numerous direct flights, from most USA metropolises, and from overseas.
We are looking forward to welcoming you to Portland, Oregon, USA in June 2019.

The IEEE International Symposium on Field-Programmable Custom Computing Machines (FCCM) is the original and premier forum for presenting and discussing new research related to computing that exploits the unique features and capabilities of FPGAs and other reconfigurable hardware.
The 2019 USENIX Annual Technical Conference (USENIX ATC '19) seeks original, high-quality submissions that improve and further the knowledge of computing systems, with an emphasis on implementations and experimental results. We are interested in systems of all scales, from small embedded mobile devices to data centers and clouds. The scope of USENIX ATC covers all practical aspects related to systems software, including: operating systems; runtime systems; parallel and distributed systems; storage; networking; security and privacy; virtualization; software-hardware interactions; performance evaluation and workload characterization; reliability, availability, and scalability; energy/power management; bug-finding, tracing, analyzing, and troubleshooting.
We welcome experience submissions that clearly articulate lessons learned, as well as submissions that refute prior published results. We value submissions more highly if they are accompanied by clearly defined artifacts not previously available, including traces, original data, source code, or tools developed as part of the submitted work. We particularly encourage new ideas and approaches.

Ubiquitous sensors, devices, networks and information are paving the way towards a smart world in which computational intelligence is distributed throughout the physical environment to provide reliable and relevant services to people. This ubiquitous intelligence will change the computing landscape because it will enable new breeds of applications and systems to be developed and the realm of computing possibilities will be significantly extended. By enhancing everyday objects with intelligence, many tasks and processes could be simplified, more efficient and more enjoyable. Ubiquitous computing is to create such intelligent/smart environments, services and applications.
Research on ubiquitous intelligence is an exciting field covering many disciplines. A series of grand challenges exist to move from the current computing services to the ubiquitous intelligent/smart things. UIC 2019 is the next edition of the successful series, previously held as UIC 2018 Guangzhou China, UIC 2017 San Jose USA, UIC 2016 Toulouse France, UIC 2015 Beijing China, UIC 2014 Bali Indonesia, UIC 2013 Vietri sul Mare Italy, UIC 2012 Fukuoka Japan, UIC 2011 Banff Canada, UIC 2010 Xi'an China, UIC 2009 Brisbane Australia, UIC 2008 Oslo Norway, UIC 2007 Hong Kong, UIC 2006 Wuhan China, UIC 2005 Nagasaki Japan, and UIC 2004 Taipei.
