This workshop aims to provide an overview of the new trends and advances in those areas. Moreover, it will offer an opportunity for academic and industrial attendees to interact and explore collaborations.

This workshop builds upon the success of the previous NTIRE editions: at CVPR 2017 and 2018 and at ACCV 2016 . Moreover, it relies on all the people associated with the NTIRE past events such as organizers, PC members, distinguished speakers, authors of published paper, challenge participants and winning teams.

Papers addressing topics related to image restoration and enhancement are invited. The topics include, but are not limited to:

Nowadays, Automation and Mechatronics Engineering play an increasingly important role in both control and engineering applications. In the real world, the environment is complex and dynamics. As such, the automation systems should learn and adapt accordingly and more efforts should be focused on the methodology of the learning system on one hand. For example, fast adaptation and self-organizing capability are highly desired and research activities on this type of development should be expedited. On the other hand, one should leverage on artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance their performance. Towards this end, the 2019 3rd International Conference on Robotics and Mechantronics (ICRoM 2019) will be organized.

ICRoM 2019 will take place on August 9-11, 2019 in Sabah, Malaysia. The main goal of ICRoM 2019 is to address latest original results in advanced intelligent control of automation systems, including both theoretical advances and practical implementations, which are becoming more and more popular in industry and in our daily lives. The ICRoM 2019 will provide a premier interdisciplinary platform for scientists, researchers, industry leaders, engineers and educators throughout the world to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered, and streamline solutions in the fields of Automation and Mechatronics Engineering. The meeting will provide an opportunity to highlight recent developments and to identify emerging and future areas of growth in Robotics and Mechantronics.

The International Conference on Quantitative Evaluation of SysTems (QEST) is the leading forum on evaluation and verification of computer systems and networks, through stochastic models and measurements.

Performance metrics of interest include response time, reliability, availability, safety, security, survivability, correctness, timeliness, and efficiency. Areas of interest include modelling formalisms and methodologies, measurements, analytical and numerical evaluation, simulation and verification, and theory of probabilistic, concurrent and non-deterministic behaviour. Also of interest are case studies showing the role of quantitative evaluation in the design of systems including computer architectures, distributed and fault tolerant systems, communication systems, embedded systems, web-based systems, and safety-critical systems.

Moreover, tools for supporting the practical application of research results in all the above areas are of special interest for QEST and therefore tool papers are sought.

In short, QEST aims to create a sound methodological basis for assessing and designing trustworthy computing systems and networks.

CVPR - Workshop and Challenge on Learned Image Compression

Our workshop aims to gather publications which will advance the field of image compression with and without neural networks. Even with the long history of signal-processing oriented compression, taking new approaches to image processing have great potential, due to the proliferation of high-resolution cell-phone images and special hardware (e.g., GPUs). The potential in this area has already been demonstrated using recurrent neural networks, convolutional neural networks, and adversarial learning, many of these matching the best image-compression standards when measured on perceptual metrics. As such, we are interested in the various techniques associated with this class of methods. Broadly speaking, we would like to encourage the development of novel encoder/decoder architectures, novel ways to control information flow between the encoder and the decoder, and learn how to quantize (or learn to quantize) better.

The ACM Hypertext conference is a premium venue for high quality peer-reviewed research on hypertext theory, systems and applications. It is concerned with all aspects of modern hypertext research including social media, semantic web, dynamic and computed hypertext and hypermedia as well as narrative systems and applications.

The theme of Hypertext 2019 is “HYPERTEXT – TEAR DOWN THE WALL”. This motto of the 30th ACM Hypertext conference goes hand in hand with the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Inspired by the historical events in Germany, Hypertext 2019 aims at reunifying different hypertext research directions and communities. Therefore, apart from the regular research tracks, Hypertext 2019 will feature a research track on 30 Years Hypertext as well as an exhibition/creative track. 2019 will also be the 30th anniversary of the WWW. It is a perfect time to join in, reflect our common roots, and discuss how we can jointly address our current and future challenges.

The conference will take place at the Institute of Information Systems (iisys) at Hof University, Germany. Hof lies midway between Frankfurt and Prague, Munich and Berlin and is very close to the former German-German border, in particular to the village of Mödlareuth, called “little Berlin”, which used to be divided by a wall. After exactly 20 years, Hypertext 2019 will take place in Germany again for the 2nd time.

Hypertext 2019 is co-locating with the Adaptivity and User Modeling Workshop (ABIS’19), taking place on Sep 16 at Hof University, and with ACM Document Engineering Conference (DocEng’19) organized in Berlin, Germany, between Sep 23–16.
