中文摘要: 碳纳米管和纳米功能氧化物是纳米科技领域受到广泛关注的两类重要材料。利用从超顺排碳纳米管阵列抽出的有序碳纳米管薄膜当作模板将有可能实现这两种先进纳米材料的完美结合,形成优势互补,拓展它们的应用领域。首先,利用这种模板可以发展超薄且自支撑的碳管-氧化物复合纳米结构,能赋予有热敏或相变特性的纳米氧化物极小的热容和快速的热响应;其次,超顺排碳纳米管薄膜是一种有序的导电网络,它的引入会给功能氧化物提供丰富的导电通道,提升纳米功能氧化物作为超极电容器电极的性能;再次,超顺排碳纳米管薄膜具有宏观尺度并与半导体工艺有良好的兼容性,这将有力促进碳管-功能氧化物复合纳米结构的低成本大规模可控制备;最后,碳纳米管与功能氧化物之间会形成丰富的界面结构和强的相互作用,使这一体系的界面效应、应力以及性能优化成为值得探索的科学问题。

英文摘要: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and nano-sized functional oxides are two attractive materials. The combination of them would guarantee mutual-benefit of these two advanced materials and broaden their applications accordingly. Perfect combination could be achieved by using aligned CNT films, directly spun from the super-aligned CNT arrays, as templates. Two important aspects will be addressed in this proposal. First, nano-sized oxides with thermal-sensitive and phase transition functions. The integration with CNT will provide them ultra small heat capacity and fast thermal response. Second, the super-aligned CNT films are ordered conductive networks, which could provide abundant conductive channels for functional oxides. Such networks will improve the performances of functional oxide electrodes in supercapacitors. Importantly, the macroscopic super-aligned CNT film is well compatible with the semiconductor process. This characteristic would ensure the low-cost and large-scale production of CNT/functional oxide composites. Finally, plenty of interfaces and strong interactions between CNTs and functional oxides would lead to a rich number of physical and chemical phenomena. Therefore, these composite materials deserve further scientific exploration with respect to interfacial effects, mechanical interactions, and performance optimization.
