英文摘要: Lithium-enriched manganese-based solid solution series xLi2MnO3o(1-x)LiMO2(0<x<1,M = transition metal)are a new generation of cathode materials based on Li2MnO3 that delivers a very high capacity (ca. 250-300mAh/g) for lithium-ion batteries. In order to overcome the existing defects such as low initial coulombic efficiency, accelerated capacity fade and voltage decay under high voltage, and intrinsic poor rate capability, this project focuses on shape-controlled synthesis of lithium-rich cathode materials with a morphology of nanoplates, and will investigate the reaction mechanism of the synthetic process that makes for crystal growth in the direction perpendicular to plane electrochemically active for Li+ transportation; develop designing of heterostructure including layered host materials composited with rocksalt phase or coated with spinel phase, find out the effect of spinel phase on improving interface mass transfer and Li+ transportation, as well as the mechanism of rocksalt phase on stabilizing the activated Li2MnO3 phase; study on the synthesis process of nano-plate/micro-sphere hierarchical structured lithium-enriched material. And thus, based on the strategy listed above, we can develop a hierarchical structured lithium-enriched material with better rate capability, more steady cycle performance, and higher initial coulombic efficiency, which ensures its application in the next generation of high energy density lithium-ion battery.
