中文摘要: 寻找和探测Higgs玻色子,可检验电弱对称破缺机制,解释质量起源。顶夸克在电弱对称破缺机制中也很可能扮演着极其重要的角色。单顶夸克和Higgs玻色子的联合产生过程,可为寻找中等质量Higgs粒子提供可能道,同时为检验WWH,ttH耦合的相干效应及可能存在的新物理提供主要途径。本项目拟计算大型强子对撞机(LHC)上单顶夸克同Higgs的联合产生过程,精确到单圈QCD及单圈电弱(EW)修正阶,考虑末态重粒子衰变效应,构建合适的物理观测量,如横动量分布,不变质量分布和赝快度分布等,在此基础上给出适当的信号本底分析,从而为实验上寻找Higgs粒子,检验电弱对称破缺机制,寻找标准模型以外的新物理提供理论基础。

英文摘要: The discovery of the Higgs boson as the culprit for electroweak symmetry breaking(EWSB)is one of the most challenging goals of present and future high-energy experiments. The top quark is the only quark to have a mass on the same order as EWSB scale. This enormous mass may be a clue that the top quark plays a special role in EWSB. To consider Higgs boson plus single top quark production, one would expect such weak process to be a mean to discover an intermediate-mass Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC), more, it gives a rather unique possibility for studying the relative sign between the coupling of the Higgs boson to fermions and to vector bosons. In this project, we will use Monte Carlo Simulation method to simulate the single top and Higgs associated production at the LHC. In our calculation, we will consider the Next-to-Leading Order(NLO) QCD and NLO electroweak(EW) effects as well as the final decay effects. This project will be a good test for the Higgs searching and EWSB and a good support to searches for new physics beyond the Standard model(SM) at the LHC.
