ICCEN 2019 is sponsored by the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES). It is one of the leading international conferences for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Civil Engineering. It also serves to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving Civil Engineering related techniques.

All full paper submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability.

For papers submitted to ICCEN 2019, accepted papers will be recommended to be published in the International  Journal  of  Structural  and  Civil  Engineering  Research (IJSCER, ISSN: 2319-6009), and will be included in New Jour (Electronic Journals & Newsletters), Open J-Gate, Index Copernicus International, Indian Science, Research BIB Japan.

The International Conference on Multiphase Flow is held since 1991 and is devoted to all aspects of Multiphase Flow. Experts and professional researchers from all over the world attend it and make presentations of their research results and recent advancements. The tenth edition of the conference (ICMF2019) was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from the 19th to the 24th of May, 2019. A collection of papers selected by a scientific committee is presented in this Special Issue of Applied Thermal Engineering.

The Special Issue covers applied research on thermal engineering involving multiphase flows, such as, but not limited to, development and demonstration of components, equipment, technologies and systems involving thermal processes.
