In traditional Chinese medicines, the toxicology of many herbs, minerals and animals have been widely applied to against diseases. The natural products-based drug discovery is still of a great importance today, especially in some therapeutic areas. The relationship of toxicology and pharmacology of natural products is an interesting topic. The biocompatibility of natural products guaranteed biological validation, less toxicity and safetyin vivo. The hints on efficacy and safety from application of traditional medicines by ancient physicians might offer key clues for new drugs. This special issue is related to First International Conference on Natural Toxicology and Pharmacology (1-ICNTP) to be held in Guangzhou, China on 8-12 August 2019.
This special issue will shape the future research direction for this important natural products source. Our purpose is to feature high quality advance research and knowledge contributed by various research groups of the world working on natural source -related toxicology and pharmacology. We invite researchers to contribute reviews and reports of their recent work on this area.
