中文摘要: 超大规模云服务数据中心是未来云服务时代的信息基础设施。项目围绕超大规模云服务数据中心通信网络面临的重大挑战开展相关基础理论及技术研究,是我国发展下一代绿色信息技术和战略新兴产业的重大需求。项目围绕三个关键科学问题开展研究,包括动态易扩展的全带宽Exascale全光交换网络架构;大动态数据传输的高可靠和低时延控制;多维资源高能效利用的跨层软控制机制。研究内容包括云服务数据中心环境下的数据交换模型、全光交换网络结构、大动态数据的弹性传输技术、业务驱动的时延可控、高可靠自适应协议栈、软定制跨层控制理论等。项目创新性地提出了云服务数据中心的OpenScale网络架构、相关分析和设计理论及基于网络环境感知的超轻量级高速、高效传输协议等。项目预期在相关基础理论和设计方法上取得突破,研制出动态易扩展的全带宽OpenScale全光交换网络试验平台原型,可支持超过20万台服务器组成的云服务数据中心。

英文摘要: Extremely large scale Data Center is the most important infrastructure for the cloud service. Focusing on the major challenges of the intra-datacenter networks, this project aims to investigate the fundamental theories and technologies on related topics, which meets the critical demands of China’s next generation green information technology deployment and industry development. The project is supposed to solve three key scientific problems, namely, the architecture of the exascale full-bandwidth all-optical switching network with dynamically arbitrarily-scaleable capability; the novel transmission control schemes of highly dynamic data communication with high reliability and controllable latency performance; the cross-layer-optimized control mechanism for multidimensional-networks with high resource and energy efficiency. Listed below are the specific research contents: data exchange model of datacenters for cloud computing; all-optical switching network architecture designing; elastic transmission technology of highly dynamic data communication; application-oriented latency controllable; highly reliable self-adaptive protocol stack; software-defined cross-layer control theory, etc. This project innovatively proposes the OpenScale network architecture of intra-datacenter networks and related theoretical analysis, as well as the ultra-lightweight, high-speed, high-efficiency transmission protocols based on dynamic network environment perception, etc. The project is expected to take some breakthroughs in fundamental theories and technologies on related topics, and implement a prototype of the full-bandwidth all-optical switching network with dynamically arbitrarily-scaleable capability, which is able to support a cloud datacenter with more than 200,000 servers.
