Welcome to IFIP-ICTSS 2019
Testing is the most important quality assurance technique for the (partial) verification of communication and software systems as well as for the validation of their models. Yet, testing remains very challenging in the underlying theory, methods and tools, in industrial use, and in its systematic application combined with other verification techniques.

ICTSS is a series of international conferences addressing the conceptual, theoretic, and practical problems of testing software systems, including communication protocols, services, distributed platforms, middleware, embedded- and cyber-physical-systems, and security infrastructures.

ICTSS is a forum for researchers, developers, testers, and users from industry to review, discuss, and learn about new approaches, concepts, theories, methodologies, tools, and experiences in the field of testing of software and systems. This year, ICTSS 2019 will take place in Paris, France on October 15-17, 2019. Please, find further information on ICTSS and its policies on the website of ICTSS Conference Series.

The IIXth edition of the international workshop on Representations, analysis and recognition of shape and motion FroM Imaging data (RFMI 2019) will take place in Hammamet (located in the south-eastern section of Cap Bon in Tunisia) from october 28 to 31th. The goal of the workshop is to promote interaction and collaboration among researchers working on static and dynamic shape analysis and their applications in computer vision, pattern recognition, computer graphics and animation, robotics, cultural heritage conservation, medical imaging and healthcare diagnostics. The rapid development of emerging imaging sensors technologies (3D/4D cameras, medical imaging devices, depth-consumer cameras, 3D/4D microscopy, etc.) is pushing forth new research directions to study imaged shapes as well as their motion for advanced modeling, statistical analysis and behavior understanding. The perspective of the workshop will be to strengthen the relationship between the many areas that have as a key meet point, the study of shape and motion and the design of relevant geometric and computational tools. Thus, it will be a great opportunity to encourage links between researchers who share common problems and frequently use similar tools. The fundamental topics of the workshop are (but not limited to),

This symposium is dedicated to the understanding and characterization of workloads that run on all types of computing systems. New applications and programming paradigms continue to emerge rapidly as the diversity and performance of computers increase. On one hand, improvements in computing technology are usually based on a solid understanding and analysis of existing workloads. On the other hand, computing workloads evolve and change with advances in microarchitecture, compilers, programming languages, and networking communication technologies. Whether they are smart phones and deeply embedded systems at the low end or massively parallel systems at the high end, the design of future computing machines can be significantly improved if we understand the characteristics of the workloads that are expected to run on them. This symposium, sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and the Technical Committee on Computer Architecture, will focus on characterizing and understanding emerging applications in consumer, commercial and scientific computing.

In addition to the latest NFV and SDN concepts and mechanisms, the 2019 IEEE NFV-SDN conference will focus on first operational results related to virtualized networks functions (VNFs) as well as designing, describing, orchestrating, and managing new applications made of VNFs which smarten networks and their usage.
