Ambient Intelligence (AmI) is a recent paradigm emerging from Artificial Intelligence (AI), where computers are used as proactive tools assisting people with their day-to-day activities, making everyone’s life more comfortable.
Another main concern of AmI originates from the human computer interaction domain and focuses on offering ways to interact with systems in a more natural way by means user friendly interfaces. This field is evolving quickly as can be witnessed by the emerging natural language and gesture based types of interaction.
The inclusion of computational power and communication technologies in everyday objects is growing and their embedding into our environments should be as invisible as possible. In order for AmI to be successful, human interaction with computing power and embedded systems in the surroundings should be smooth and happen without people actually noticing it. The only awareness people should have arises from AmI: more safety, comfort and wellbeing, emerging in a natural and inherent way. ISAmI is the International Symposium on Ambient Intelligence, aiming to bring together researchers from various disciplines that constitute the scientific field of Ambient Intelligence to present and discuss the latest results, new ideas, projects and lessons learned.Brand new ideas will be greatly appreciated as well as relevant revisions and actualizations of previously presented work, project summaries and PhD thesis.

In recent years, "Big Data" has become a new ubiquitous term. Big Data is transforming science, engineering, medicine, healthcare, finance, business, and ultimately our society itself. Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that aims to create intelligent machines that teach themselves. Much of AI's growth has occurred in the last decade. The upcoming decade will be the greatest technological revolution in man's history.
The 2nd International Conference on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (BDAI 2019) will be held in Guangzhou, China during June 22-24, 2019. The aim as well as objective of BDAI 2019 is to present the latest research and results of scientists related to Big Data and Artificial Intelligence topics.

Welcome to the official website of the 2019 the 4th International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications (ICCIA 2019), which will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China, during June 21-23, 2019, sponsored by Nanchang University . Computational Intelligence (CI), as an offshoot of the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI), is a research field of studying various tools such as fuzzy logic, neuro networks, genetic algorithms, etc. Growing technical achievements to gather and integrate multi-“style” data from sensors, mobile devices, social media, log files, cameras, microphones etc. provide useful information about the state and the environment of the data sources, but also result in large and complex data sets, known as Big Data, which requires more efficient and powerful data analysis methods and applications.

Education is the cornerstone of any society and it serves as one of the foundations for many of its social values and characteristics. Knowledge societies offer significant opportunities for novel ICT tools and applications, especially in the fields of education and learning. In such a context, the role of intelligent systems, rooted in artificial intelligence, has become increasingly relevant to the field of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). New intelligent solutions can be stand-alone or inter-connected to others and can target not only cognitive processes but can also take care of motivational factors. Furthermore, recommender systems are emerging for administering personalized views of a repository of materials, use different strategies and techniques to suggest the right learning items, in general going beyond adaptivity. Moreover, more recently, makerspaces are also emerging as a central possibility to increase learning opportunities and outcomes, especially in the case of “fragile users”, as for example children, elderly people, people with special needs.
The 9th edition of this conference expands the topics of the previous editions in order to provide an open forum for discussing intelligent systems for TEL, their roots in novel learning theories, empirical methodologies for their design or evaluation, stand-alone solutions or web-based ones, and makerspaces, also fostering entrepreneurship and increasing business startup ideas. It intends to bring together researchers and developers from industry, the education field and the academic world to report on the latest scientific research, technical advances and methodologies.
