The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a Surface-series Windows 8.1 tablet produced by Microsoft. It was announced on May 20th, 2014, at a New York City event,[5][3][6] and the first models are scheduled to be released on June 20, 2014 in the US and Canada.[3] The Surface Pro 3 is bigger than its predecessor, with a 12-inch display, but at the same time is both thinner and lighter and comes with an improved, multi-stage kickstand.[3][1] New accessories include a redesigned touch cover and a battery-powered Bluetooth pen.[2] The battery life can support up to 9 hours of web browsing, and can last up to 1 year in sleep mode.
