中文摘要: 近年来,数据中心迅猛发展,已成为许多企业信息架构中关键的组成部分,用于提供各类计算和海量存储服务。随着规模不断增大,传统有线数据中心网络在可扩展性、可维护性方面逐渐暴露出许多问题。本课题探索一种可扩展的混合数据中心网络结构,引入无线传输机制,利用其灵活、动态性强的特点,协同有线数据传输,以优化网络流量。具体包括:(1)设计可扩展性强的混合数据中心网络的体系结构;(2)分析和建模数据中心典型应用的流量分布,研究流量感知的混合数据中心网络拓扑动态调整方法;(3)分析拓扑变化、混合路由对数据传输质量的影响,提出面向混合路由的流量管理方法;(4)探索无线传输的不同角色和实施策略,提出混合数据中心高效的拥塞控制和公平调度方法;(5)研究面向机架的无线节点干扰管理方法,解决无线和有线链路的全局协同。通过解决这些科学问题,有效提高数据中心的服务质量,对推进数据中心网络的研究向前发展有重要意义。

英文摘要: In recent years, data centers have been providing computing and storage services for many enterprises as a fundamental component of network infrastructure. With the scale-up of data center networks, however, traditional wired data centers are currently facing severe challenges, such as scalability and maintainability. This project aimes to explore a hybrid data center network, in which wireless transmission is adopted to cooperate with cable based network. In virtue of its flexibility and dynamic characters, wireless transmission can be offset against many limitations of cable transmission, and optimize traffic management. Our works address several fundamental problems in the hybrid data center network: (1) Design a scalable architecture for wireless-cooperated data center network; (2) Analyze and model the traffic distribution of some typical applications in data center, and design some traffic-aware topology adjustment methods to well match the traffic distribution; (3) Analyze the effect of topology change and hybrid routing on the quality of data transfer, and propose some hybrid routing based traffic management methods. (4) Explore multiple roles and enforcement mechanism of wireless transmission, and propose efficient congestion control and fairness scheduling method utilizing flexible wireless transmissio
