Researchers with an interest in political economy and public choice are invited to submit papers for the 2018 Silvaplana workshop. Papers can be theoretical and/or empirical. The primary criterion is that papers be judged interesting by the program committee. The workshop is intended for presentation of papers-in-progress that can benefit from discussion. We ask you not to propose a paper that has been accepted for publication or that is in revision for a journal. If a paper is accepted for journal revision after workshop submission, alternative papers can be proposed. Papers accepted and presented are eligible for submission to the European Journal of Political Economy without a submission fee. Submissions by graduate students of thesis chapters and recent graduates are welcome. There are no parallel sessions. Participation in the workshop is subject to participation in all sessions. If your paper is accepted, you will be advised of the registration procedure. Participants are obliged to stay at the conference hotel (cost per night, 261 SF double for 2 people in a room, 137 SF double room for one person in a double room, 130 SF single room, includes breakfast, dinner, local travel card, spa and sauna). The workshop hotel price applies before and after the conference. There is a workshop fee of 50 Swiss francs. Fitness for at least intermediate difficulty mountain walks is required, including for companions.
