Call for papers: Multisensory Development in Infants and Children
In recent years there has been a resurgence of interest and research examining multisensory development. This resurgence has been led in part by advances in our understanding of the neurophysiological processes associated with multisensory development. In addition to an increase in research examining multisensory development, these advances have also led to an increase in the range of behavioral and neurophysiological topics and domains under investigation, the inclusion of a wider age range of participants, and a growing awareness that multisensory processing is ubiquitous throughout our day-to-day actions.
The purpose of this special issue is to highlight some of these recent behavioral and neurophysiological advances. We are seeking submissions that address topics across a wide range of topics relevant to multisensory development in infants and children. Acceptable articles may be reviews, empirical reports, or papers that provide conceptual advances or future directions.
Interested authors should submit an abstract (250 words) to the Editors that summarizes the proposed content of the paper. From these abstracts, articles will be selected for full submission. The proposal should also indicate whether the submission is meant to be a review or empirical paper – both are welcomed. Abstracts to be sent to Prof. Ross Flom (Ross.Flom@northern.edu) by December 1st 2017. The full manuscripts of approved abstracts would then be submitted into EVISE. Notification for full submissions will be made in early January 2018.
